Most of you might ask themselves how someone from Germany could possibly get so excited about snow in the winter. Well, my dearest readers, it’s due to the fact that after I’ve been back from California it hasn’t snowed like this around the holiday season. Unfortunaly, we didn’t have a white Christmas this year either, but we’ve been blessed with enough snow to satisfy my little winter-loving heart right after Christmas. So let’s be grateful together!
When I told my boyfriend that it was supposed to snow over night, we both couldn’t really believed. Especially because this year’s winter just wasn’t all that cold. Of course it was cloudy, rainy, and very windy – we’re in Germany after all – but it surely felt more like an exxagerated fall season than anything else.
Then I woke up on Saturday, looked outside of my living room window and saw this:
Everything was covered in beautiful, powdery snow! Ahhhh, isn’t it gorgeous?!
My tummy is full, I had yummy wine, and I’m happy. What more could I want? Well, to share one of my favorite spots out there.
I don’t know if many of you have been to Mainz, Germany before, but if not, you really should. My hometown is a rather small, very charming, university city, located in the south west of Germany. If you have ever heard of Gutenberg, the guy who pretty much invented printing, then you’ve probably heard of Mainz as well. Anyways, our region is known for extraordinarily good wine – let’s just say that I live in what you would consider “Germany’s Napa.” Therefore, we have tons of wineries, vineyards, and very delicious wine. When I get together with some of my friends it’s usually at this very low key wine-house downtown Mainz called “Rote Kopf”, which literally translated into “red head.” And no, they don’t mean gingers, but rather the color your face will turn into once you’ve had one too many.
Early today I announced that I will be adding a new category to the blog and here it is – “Munchin” (!!!) This category will be all about food, as I love to go out to eat and thought to myself “Hey, why not share it with the whole world and suggest places and food?!” So, after my lovely lunch date today, I will let you know where and what I ate and if you ever end up being in the area you can check this spot out yourselves.

since I started my challenge rather late, I decided to catch up as much as possible by posting a couple of times a day. Sooo this morning I will be writing about the first prompt of the challenge and talking about what I would do if I won the lottery.
1. Get more tattoos
Parts of my right sleeve
The first I would do is get more tattoos. Tattooed people know that the main reason they don’t get more tattoos, is because you want to keep it “coverable” since you don’t know where you’ll end up working. And there’s nothing wrong with that. It is basically the reason why I have no tattoos on my hands or my neck. If I won the lottery though, I might be a little more relaxed about the future, probably living off of interest and just focusing on having a good time. But yeah, point 1 goes to ink.
